Asia Growth

Having just arrived back for holidays from a trip to Hong Kong I can easily say that the Asian world is not hurting one bit from the world economic crisis that US and Europe are struggling with.

Strolling around the streets on Causeway Bay and having to push through the throngs of people all shopping shows an underlying strength in the economy that was a little different to the mayhem of Christmas shopping in London.

Don't get me wrong, the crowds in London were still amazingly big, but the density of the population in Asia really hit home. But you don't need to sit back and watch this growth. Increasingly companies that are already listed have presence in the growth stories of East already.

Yum Brands is a great example of this. With over 50% of sales coming from the Asian Countries there is a lot of action and growth that Yum sets up both now and in the future.

How Yummy are these returns!

Hackers take down Visa and Mastercard

Operation 'Payback' over the WikiLeaks created disruption across both the Mastercard and Visa websites today after the companies who cut ties with Wikileaks after the US Government issue were targeted.

However, this had next to no impact on the prices of Mastercard or Visa, or its competitor American Express as the credit cards enjoyed an up-tick for the day.
